Ahh. Art in Bloom. Once again, one of Minneapolis/St. Paul's premiere art museums is inviting flower lovers of all scopes and abilities to mingle their fresh arrangements with the gallery art in a FREE four-day festival. Art + Flowers. Sounds lovely? It is.
Hosted by the Friends of the Institute as a fundraiser for their community art outreach programs at the Minneapolis Institute of Art museum, this is one of only a handful of museums who allow the monumental risks of water, pollen and branches (not to mention the buzzing crowds) next to their priceless art, all for the sake of the monumental high it gives the community.
Oh, did I mention it’s FREE?
Come! Join the celebration of Spring! Look at pretty things! Smell nice stuff!
MuseFlora owner, Cana Potter, will be participating for her 10th year in Art in Bloom by creating a floral interpretation of an art piece on display in the galleries. A giant art piece.
Cana is interpreting not a painting, not a sculpture, but an entire kitchen. This kitchen. It’s its own gallery.
Come use your love of MuseFlora as an excuse to wallow in springtime merriment. Check out the long weekend’s full event list at www.ArtsMia.org.
